Kanika's "Voyeurs" Series from the 20th Street Gallery's "50-50 Show"
The 20th Street Gallery's exciting annual 50-50 show spanned April and May 2009. What's that? I was chosen (along with over 70 other artists) to participate in this year's "50-50 Show." That's 50 art pieces in 50 days, whew! All works are 6 x 6 inches, and most were priced between $50 and $300 each. My theme was "The Voyeurs" who represent our friends, family, foes, or even fools. Our Voyeurs watch over us, support us, love us, envy us. They are painted with exotic color gazes on tiles, and further decorated with fabrics, wire, or beads. Each tile flows into its neighbor tile suggersting that we impact each other's lives - we are never alone. Each of these pieces is now specially priced at $75 and shipping will be $5 per piece.
