Dear Kanika,
What
an incredible, historical way to
start to this month of
Thanksgiving! To help celebrate,
there are two events we would like
to tell you about in this edition of
Art News.
|
|
Crocker Holiday Art Show, at 6151 H
Street, right after Thanksgiving
I am happy to join
more than 100 regional artists and
craftspeople who will offer our
unique gift items during the Crocker
Art Museum's 2008 Holiday Art &
Craft Festival. Support the Crocker
and local artists while you shop for
everyone on your holiday list,
during the three-day shopping spree
right after Thanksgiving.
The artists'
creations for sale include jewelry,
gourmet food, ceramics, paintings,
holiday items and more . . . at a
range of prices. A Victorian Santa
will also be onsite for photos.
Visit me in booth
#112 in the ballroom. I will offer
ethnic Christmas and Kwanzaa items,
goddess sculptures, large tile wall
sculptures, African masks and dolls,
tribal jewelry and
more for your gift-giving
pleasure. Join our raffle for a
FREE gift certificate as described
below.
If
you do not live in the Sacramento
area but want to participate in our
raffle, you may e-mail your name,
address, and phone number to Kanika@kanika.us.
NOTE: Due to the Crocker's
construction plans,
the event will be held at the
Scottish Rite Center, 6151 H Street
(across from the main
entrance of California State
University, Sacramento).

GIFTS!

"Freedom's Sisters" Show
Comes to Sacramento!
Freedom's Sisters
is the first and most comprehensive
traveling exhibit on women in the
Civil Rights movement, focusing on
the lives and contributions of 20
African American women.
I am so proud to
be
one of ten local African American
female artists who will present our
artwork along with this amazing
Freedom's Sisters show, from October
25th through January 4th, at the
Sacramento Public Library, 828 I
Street.
NOTE that the art show is on the 4th
floor.
This
sculpture is called "Kanika in
Repose."
=========================================================
On December 6, 2008, at 3 PM,
on the 4th floor,
all of the artists will be
available
to
answer your questions about our
art.
So
please stop by and bring your
questions.
